O'Charley's shutters its Prattville restaurant

PRATTVILLE ‒ The O'Charley's location in Prattville has permanently closed.

A sign on the doors of the 2301 Cobbs Ford Road restaurant announced the closure. Emails also went out to O’Club members Monday morning informing them of the closure and saying any gift cards or other promotions could be redeemed at nearby locations.

The email did not detail any reason for the closure. Company officials could not immediately be reached for comment.

About a dozen people at the restaurant late Monday morning were working to clean the building.

O’Charley’s was one of the first national restaurant chains to locate in Prattville in the late 1990s after it was announced that the county would be a location for a stop on the Robert Trent Jones Trail, a nationally known golfing attraction.

When golf destination opened, it kicked off a round of restaurant and hotel growth in the city.
