Oconee County under tornado warning briefly Friday evening

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City issued a tornado warning for the southeastern Oconee County area on Friday.

The warning was in effect until 7 p.m. and was not extended.

The warning was also in effect for northwest Morgan County and east central Walton County, according to NWS.

As of Friday at 7 p.m., no damage had been reported in Oconee County to the Athens Banner-Herald.
