OCONTO - Town of Little Suamico voters have narrowed its candidates for the April 4 general election following the results of the Feb. 21 primary elections.

According to unofficial results, in the town board chairperson race, Dale Mohr and David E. Pribyl will battle for the post. Mohr received 504 votes with Pribyl receiving 293. Frank Nowak was eliminated with 116 votes.

Meanwhile in the town's supervisor race, four candidates advanced for a chance to win one of two available seats. Liz Paape finished first with 439 votes, followed by Tracey Krumrei (355), Pribyl (298) and Douglas L. Allen Sr. (259). Nowak was eliminated with 131 votes.

As a whole, Oconto County voters overwhelmingly backed Daniel Kelly to advance to the statewide general election and replace retiring Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Patricia Roggensack. Kelly received 2,755 votes, or 45% of the ballots, followed by Janet Protasiewicz with 1,721 (27%), Jennifer Dorow with 1,308 (22%) and Everett Mitchell with 220 (4%).

The statewide results have Protasiewicz with 46.4% of the vote, Kelly with 24.2%, Dorow with 21.9% and Mitchell with 7.5%. Protasiewicz and Kelly will face off for the seat on the bench in the April election.
