According to legend, the fire that destroyed the old theater may have been started by malevolent dark forces, possibly a coven of occultists who practiced dark rituals within the very walls of the building.

As they sought to harness supernatural powers, a fire was sparked with the inferno engulfing the building that is now haunted.

The haunted theater experience is designed to be intense and not suitable for the faint-hearted, organizers said.

Ticket holders for the adult version of the haunted house must be 16 or older to enter. Those 16 and 17 must have a parent/guardian present.

A milder and less spooky version of the haunted theater will be available for those 15 years old and under.
