Odell Beckham Jr. workouts with Terry McLaurin led to tip-sharing

Odell Beckham Jr. is one of the most respected players in the NFL amongst his peers. The Browns wide receiver is a popular magnet for other wideouts, aside from being one of the league’s most recognizable personalities.

This offseason Beckham worked out with impressive young Washington WR Terry McLaurin. Coming off a nice rookie season (58 catches, 919 yards), McLaurin picked Beckham’s brain for how he could better. What caught McLaurin off guard was that Beckham then did the same.

“He asked me while we were running routes to give him any tips that I may have seen what he’s doing,” McLaurin said of his workout with Beckham.

It’s a sign of mutual respect, and it’s also an indication that the veteran superstar isn’t too proud to ask a young up-and-comer on how he can make himself even better.

McLaurin’s full quote, courtesy the Washington Football Team:

Yeah he actually came up and talked to me for a while. I’m a guy that kind of lays back a little bit and gets my work in and not do too much. But (Beckham) came up and told me he respected my game. He asked me while we were running routes to give him any tips that I may have seen what he’s doing. And I asked the same. I like being around like-minded people. I like being around people who are trying to be the best and perfect their craft.”

Good for Beckham on being one of those people.
