ODNR: Two bodies recovered from submerged vehicle in Cowan Lake Tuesday
Two bodies were recovered from a lake in Clinton County on Tuesday, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
The two bodies were recovered from a submerged vehicle in Cowan Lake.
Cowan Lake is a 700-acre lake at Cowan Lake State Park, about 50 miles north of Cincinnati in Wilmington, Ohio.
ODNR officers and the Clinton County Sheriff's Office began the search Tuesday afternoon while investigating a report regarding two missing adults.
The department of natural resources requested the assistance of a dive team after a vehicle was identified about 10 feet underwater.
Officials are not yet releasing the names of those recovered from the vehicle.
The investigation is ongoing. The Enquirer will update this story as more information becomes available.
