ODOT construction this week: What you need to know

LANCASTER- The following construction projects are anticipated to affect highways in Fairfield County. All outlined work is weather permitting.

New

Summerland Beach Road closure at Ohio 158 - Beginning Tuesday, June 20, the intersection of Summerland Beach Road and Ohio 158 will be closed for a culvert replacement. Ohio158 will remain open to traffic. Estimated completion is Friday, June 23.

Ongoing

Interstate 70 resurfacing - This project includes resurfacing and related work on I-70 from the Franklin County line to Ohio 158 in Licking County. Estimated completion is October 2023. Continued impacts: I-70 WB nightly lane closures for paving working from SR 158 to the Franklin County line.

U.S. Route 22, Ohio 159, and Delmont Road intersection improvements - This project includes the reconfiguration of the intersection of U.S. 22/Ohio 159 along with the intersection of U.S. 22/Delmont Road in Fairfield County. The proposed construction includes the construction of two roundabouts, replacing the two existing intersections. Estimated completion is October 2023. New impacts: Traffic is currently switched on U.S. 22. Traffic is maintained on U.S. 22 by use of temporary pavement. The stop signs on Delmont Road and Ohio 159 have been moved to the south to accommodate the temporary roadway layout. Delmont Road is closed on the north side of U.S. 22 for approximately 30 days to construct the northern portion of the Delmont Road/U.S. 22 roundabout.
