Andy Behrens explains why the New York RB will struggle against the Saints.
- Yeah, that's a good call. I'm going to go actually with Saquon Barkley this week. And listen, there's a lot of reasons to feel pretty good about Saquon right now because he's played over 80% of the snaps now in back to back games, coming off a game with 94 scrimmage yards.
We like those things, but it's not Atlanta this week, it's New Orleans. And New Orleans on the season has allowed only 2.8 yards per carry, about 60 rushing yards per game. They have shut down some really good backs on the ground so far, haven't really let anyone get off. Obviously, Saquon has a little receiving upside. That can save his day in any circumstance. So feel good about that.
Another issue with Saquon is he's actually seen one of the lowest percentages of eight or more defenders in the box so far, and I got to think that that might change a little bit this week, given the damage to New York's receiving core. So I don't think this is going to be a particularly good spot for Saquon. You can still play him, but I wouldn't bank on a big week here. Hopefully I hedged enough there. Liz, take it away.
