Office Depot, OfficeMax, Staples are big gainers

NEW YORK (AP) -- Stocks that moved substantially or traded heavily Tuesday on the New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq Stock Market:

Several media reports said the office supply chain was in talks to combine with rival OfficeMax.

Sealed Air Corp., up $1.75 at $21.15

The Bubble Wrap maker posted a narrower loss in the fourth quarter and predicted better results this year.

Humana Inc., down $4.98 at $73.01

Government data that points to steeper-than-expected rate cuts for Medicare Advantage plans in 2014 dragged down the health insurer.

Staples Inc., up $1.70 at $14.65

Analysts said that the office supply chain would benefit if a rumored combination of OfficeMax and Office Depot goes through.

Digital Generation Inc., down $2.53 at $6.45

The advertising company's strategic review couldn't find anyone interested in buying part or all of the company.

Perry Ellis International Inc., down $2.54 at $16.79

The clothing maker's outlook for the fourth quarter and this year came in short of Wall Street predictions.

EarthLink Inc., down 76 cents at $6.17

The telecommunications provider posted a bigger loss and its revenue outlook for this year fell short of Wall Street's prediction.

Red Robin Gourmet Burgers Inc., up $6.88 at $43.33

More customers ate at the company's restaurants and spent more each visit, propelling fourth-quarter profit.
