Rep. Monica De La Cruz (R-Texas), a pro-Israel member of Congress, posted online that her district office was vandalized.

The Texas representative posted photos of her McAllen office, where “Israel kills Jews too” was spray-painted in red on a window.

Protestors left sheets also spray-painted that read “Monica murders” and “Israel is doing genocide and you support it.” On the sidewalk, “you can’t escape your crimes Monica” was written.

The congresswoman took to X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, to post about the vandalism and her stance on the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas.

“These pro-Hamas activists who have vandalized my office may disregard the importance of standing with our Jewish brothers and sisters during their darkest hour, but I do not,” De La Cruz posted. “My support for Israel and the Jewish community is, always has been, and always will be unwavering.”

“I make no apologies for standing firmly against anti-Semitism. These vandals will not intimidate or silence me,” she continued.

De La Cruz said she has been in touch with local rabbis to assure them they have her support. She stands against hate and violence in all its forms and will remain committed to the safety of her residents, she said.

“An attack on one of us is an attack on all of us, and such abhorrent behavior has no place in our community, our state, or our nation,” she posted.

De La Cruz represents Texas’s 15th district, which encompasses a strip of land south of San Antonio that stretches to the U.S.-Mexico border. She was a political newcomer and elected in 2022.
