Officer injured in 3-car collision in south Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — An officer riding a police motorcycle was hurt Thursday after a collision in south Las Vegas, police said.

According to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officials, an LVMPD motorcycle officer was hurt in a crash involving three other vehicles at the intersection of East Warm Springs and South Pecos roads in south Las Vegas.

The injuries were described as “non-life-threatening,” and the officer has been taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Police ask commuters to avoid the area due to a heavy police presence as investigators look into the crash.
