Officers are investigating an alleged burglary in Bothell

Bothell police are looking into an alleged burglary that happened in the area early Saturday morning.

On Jan. 21, the neighbor of a Bothell business called 911 after hearing breaking glass and seeing three people get out of a white van on Bothell Way NE, according to Bothell Police.

Officers located the van, which turned out to be stolen. The alleged burglars attempted to flee in the van and hit two patrol cars. They then drove the van to a dead end and tried to run on foot, Bothell police said.

Police arrested the suspects on first-degree burglary, assault, possession of a stolen vehicle and attempting to elude. One suspect was armed with a gun, which was recovered by police, the report said.

Officers found evidence in the van, including methamphetamine and tools typically used in burglaries, according to police.

Both suspects have been booked and are now in custody, but officers are still investigating and may follow up with more arrests.

The Bothell Police Department thanked the witness for immediately calling 911 when they saw something suspicious, saying their “quick action made all the difference.”
