Officials are sworn in

Three Guernsey County officials − one new and two who were re-elected − were sworn in recently.

Guernsey County Commissioner Dave Wilson was re-elected in November and will serve a new four-year term. This will be his third term in the commissioner's office. Wilson was sworn in by Common Pleas Court Judge Daniel Padden, who was then sworn in to a new six-year term by Judge David Bennet. Padden was also re-elected and will now serve his second term on the bench.

Cory Johnson was sworn in by Judge John Nicholson as the newly elected Guernsey County auditor to replace outgoing auditor Tony Brown.
