Officials Warn of Slick Roads After Southwest Virginia Snowfall

Some roads in Jonesville, Virginia, were slick with slushy snow as a winter storm swept the region on Friday, January 8, officials said.

The Lee County Virginia Sheriff’s Office shared this footage of the road conditions in Jonesville on Friday morning.

“The primary roads are wet. Slush- and ice-covered. The secondary roads are an absolute mess,” the sheriff’s office says in the video.
