The IHM St. Mary's Organic Farm is on the campus of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary property at 610 W. Elm Ave.
Deer had been eating the produce that around 30 gardeners planted for the season, so a fence was placed around the garden to help deter the animals.
Organic farm garden coordinator Bob Dluzen along with "JAWS" Jail Alternative Work Service members Nick Vanwasshenova, Zach Messer, Anthony Tunison and volunteers Dan Poirier, Dave Gelwicks, Paul Simonton, and Bob Peven, were among those who worked on placing a seven foot 70 X 250 foot fence around the garden space.
