'Oh Deer': Neighbors Rescue Young Deer Caught in Barbed Wire Fence

A young deer was saved by a couple who noticed it caught, hanging by a foot, on their neighbor’s fence, whilst driving in Kiowa, Oklahoma.
Footage shared to TikTok by Kassandra Scott shows her husband attempt to free the distressed animal from the barbed wire.
Not wanting to put pressure on the deer’s leg, Scott told Storyful they decided to cut the fence.
“We had some tools in our truck, so I held the deer up to relieve some pressure while my husband went to get something to cut the wire,” Scott explained.
Once it was cut they checked the deer for obvious injuries but did not find any.
“We sat him down and he shortly ran off to live another day!” Scott said.
“Our neighbors informed us of his regular visits afterwards, and we were all happy to see him make a full recovery”. Credit: Kassandra Scott via Storyful
