Oh These Irish Hills Christmas Gala scheduled as part of 'Holidays in the Hills' weekend

There are so many fun holiday things to do in the Irish Hills during the first weekend in December, Dec. 2-4, we are calling it “Holidays in the Hills.” Choose from a charity track drive, a Christmas Gala, a Wine-Ter Fest, live music, tree lighting, Santa visits, special discounts, toy drives, a Sip and Shop and lots more. One of the activities going on during the “Holidays in the Hills” weekend is the Oh These Irish Hills Christmas Gala taking place Dec. 2-4 at the Irish Hills Eagles. Enjoy decorated trees and displays, a silent auction, food, entertainment, breakfast with Mrs. Claus and more. Proceeds will go to the Brooklyn Food Pantry and Oh These Irish Hills community projects. Go to OTIH.org for more information.

Also, during the “Holidays in the Hills” weekend, Manitou Beach businesses are hosting Manitou Beach Christmas in the Village featuring a Christmas parade, tree lighting ceremony, Santa visits and more. Find more information on their Facebook page.

On Saturday, Dec. 3, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., April Messer Photography will be hosting photos with Santa at Gauci Golf Resort. Photos with Santa and immediate 5x7 prints are $35. Digital file options are sold separately. Make sure to reserve your spot by texting April at 248-787-1313.

Bundy Hill Offroad is holding a toy drive from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3. Bring a toy or cash donation and get $5 off your entry fee (one per person). They will have open wheeling on Dec. 3 and 4.

Downtown Brooklyn is holding a Sip & Shop from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at some of the various downtown businesses. Come and Sip & Shop with your friends and get ready for the holiday season.

Cherry Creek Cellars is holding their Wine-Ter Fest on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 3 and 4, during the “Holidays in the Hills” weekend. Think German Christmas market and enjoy outdoor igloos, German style bier tent, cuisine and glühwein, traditional German cookies, vendor booths, fire pits, and live music. Admission is $5 per person but will be waived with a canned good donation to the Brooklyn Food Panty.

The Irish Hills Eagles have the following specials coming up: On Wednesday, Nov. 30, they are offering $1 and $1.25 coney dogs for members only, beginning at 11 a.m. On Friday, Dec. 2, from 5 to 7 p.m., they are featuring smoked pork chop dinners for $9, and the public is welcome. Also on Friday, euchre games signup will be about 6:30 p.m. with games starting at 7 p.m. Cost to participate is $5, and the public is welcome. They are also holding an all-you-can-eat breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon Sunday, Dec. 4. Adults are $7, and children 10 or younger are only $3. The public is welcome to attend. The Irish Hills Eagles are at 9500 Wamplers Lake Road in Brooklyn.
