Ohio AP football poll: Winton Woods, Badin No. 1 plus 5 locals in Division I top 10

Division II state champion Winton Woods continues to top the state poll while Badin moves in front in Division III, according to the latest Ohio Associated Press rankings released Monday afternoon.

The undefeated Warriors visit Little Miami this week in the Eastern Cincinnati Conference, while Badin has a non-conference battle with nearby Ross.

In Division I, Greater Cincinnati boasts five teams in the top 10 with Moeller at No. 2, Lakota West fourth, Elder seventh, Princeton eighth and Fairfield 10th.

The Crusaders just topped nationally-ranked Our Lady of Good Counsel (Maryland) in a neutral site game in Ironton. Moeller now travels to St. Xavier Friday to begin Greater Catholic League-South play. No. 4 Lakota West will also be tested as they visit No. 8 Princeton in a battle of Greater Miami Conference unbeaten squads.

Other locals include Kings at No. 5 in Division II and Wyoming at No. 2 in Division V. In Division III, both New Richmond and Western Brown out of the Southern Buckeye Conference received votes. The Lions were barely out at No. 11, with the Broncos just underneath.

In Division IV, Reading received votes as did Madeira in Division V. Both are unbeaten. The second-ranked Cowboys host Reading's Blue Devils Friday at Bob Lewis Stadium in a matchup of Cincinnati Hills League unbeaten teams.
