Ohio Associated Press basketball polls: Mason girls moves to No. 1 in DI; Taft boys No. 3

The Associated Press released its latest Ohio boys and final Ohio girls basketball polls of the season. The postseason for girls teams in the state has already kicked off while the boys tournament tips off this week.

In Cincinnati, Fairfield fell out of the Top 10 despite picking up wins last week over Colerain (62-33) and Princeton (66-43) as the Indians wrapped up a third-straight Greater Miami Conference title. In Division II, Taft, champions of the Cincinnati Metro Athletic Conference, picked up a first-place vote and moved up one spot to No. 3. Woodward fell out of the Top 10.

On the girls side, Cincinnati once again had a strong showing in Division I with four of the Top 5 teams. Unbeaten Talawanda dropped a spot to No. 5 while West Clermont and Mason swapped spots for the top spot in the state. Princeton remained at No. 3 and Lakota East dropped three spots to No. 9.

Purcell Marian stayed at No. 4 for the third consecutive week in Division II while Badin moved up into a tie for No. 7.
