Ohio Hills Folk Festival: Home of noodles, queens and fun
Set in idyllic Quaker City, the 118th Ohio Hills Folk Festival highlighted local artisans, honored its past queens, and served some of the best homemade noodles around.
The four-day event, which wrapped up over the weekend, saw food vendors lining the streets, selling confections of all sorts and anything fried you could ask for. The festival kitchen, located in the Quaker City Firehouse, often sees lines out the door to try its famous homemade noodles.
Three parades entertained visitors, as well as a car show, and live musical performances from Matt Frampton, Rattlebox, Cabin Fever and Little Creek among others.
Kiddie games and the ever-popular rubber duck regatta made the festival a family-friendly favorite. Those wanting to check out the handiwork of local crafters could examine artwork and detailed quilts.
The annual event wrapped up with the Queen's Parade and fireworks. Various festival queens and attendants from around Ohio participated. The Snow Festival, Barnesville Pumpkin Festival, Bratwurst Festival, and more had their royalty in attendance.
