Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare to hold memorial luminaria event Oct. 22

WOOSTER − Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare invites the community to its Pathways of Hope Luminaria event Sunday, Oct. 22, at 6 p.m. behind the Gault Impatient Pavilion on the campus of Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare, 1900 Akron Road.

Luminarias with the names of loved ones or special people being honored and remembered will be lit, glowing warmly at dusk around the pond and surrounded by woods. The event is open to everyone in the community, regardless of whether they have had a loved one in the care of hospice.

“A brief program with music and readings will be part of the evening that allows friends and families to gather,” said Katherine Ritchie, development director at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare. “The support of events like this help make it possible to offer the highest quality hospice and bereavement services to our communities.”

Luminarias cost $15 each, and memory signs are $30 each. At the conclusion of the event, luminarias and signs can be taken home. Net proceeds from this event support patient care and bereavement services at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare.

The deadline to register is Friday, Oct. 6. In-person registration is available Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm, at the main hospice building. To register online, visit: https://protect-us.mimecast.com/s/G3knCERXz9S6ypELYcwC3sc?domain=ohioshospice.org
