While waiting for a drug-sniffing dog to arrive, the deputy was informed there was a warrant for Saunders’ arrest. Saunders was searched and a methamphetamine pipe was found sticking out of his shoe, the prosecutor’s office said. The deputy also found other drug paraphernalia and 20.28 grams (.71 ounces) of meth inside a Sour Patch Kids candy bag, the prosecutor’s office said.

Saunders pleaded guilty to second-degree felony aggravated possession of drugs. He was sentenced on Feb. 14.
