All-Ohio: Meadowbrook's Norman highlights area players on the Division III, IV squads

COLUMBUS — A slew of area players were recognized as the All-Ohio Division III and IV girls basketball teams were released on Monday.

Teams were selected by the Ohio Prep Sportswriters Association, as the Division I and II All-Ohio girls teams will be announced Tuesday, followed by the boys basketball All-Ohio teams on Wednesday and Thursday.

In Division III, Meadowbrook junior Kenli Norman was voted to the second team, while junior teammate Karly Launder received honorable mention. Norman led the Colts with 14 points per game, while also averaging 4.6 rebounds and 3.0 steals, while Launder contributed in all phases with 10.2 points, 9.0 rebounds, 3.6 steals and 3.1 assists.

Ridgewood senior Kelley Masloski received special mention, while West Muskingum senior Caitlyn Drake and Coshocton senior Savannah Bartlett were honorable mention picks. Masloski contributed 14 points and 7 boards for the Generals; Drake led the Tornadoes with 8.1 points and 5.0 rebounds; and Bartlett averaged team-highs of 14.0 points, 6.2 rebounds and 3.0 steals for the Redskins.

Loudonville's Corri Vermilya was the Division III Player of the Year, and Coach of the Year went to Denny Shrock of Doylestown Chippewa.

Union Local's Reagan Vinskovich and Torre Kildow were first-team selections out of the East District. Vinskovich averaged 22.4 points and 12 rebounds and Kildow collected 16.6 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.2 blocks.

In Division IV, Rosecrans senior Jenna McLaughlin earned honorable mention. The 6-2 post averaged 9.1 points and 13.4 rebounds for the Bishops, who finished 14-9 on the season.

Rylee Sagester, New Madison Tri-Village's Brad Gray and Rylee Sagester were the Coach and Player of the Year in Division IV.

Malvern senior Maddie Powers and Hannibal River junior Kelsey Harlan made first team from the East District. Powers scored nearly 26 points and Harlan poured in 20 points per game.
