CLEVELAND (WCMH) — Ohio’s first debate among three Republicans in the U.S. Senate race can be seen here Monday night on Your Local Election Headquarters.

Nexstar stations in Ohio — including NBC4 in Columbus, WKBN in Youngstown and WDTN in Dayton — along with WOWK in Charleston, West Virginia, and WTRF in Wheeling, West Virginia, will have a debate among three qualifying Republican candidates vying to unseat Sherrod Brown, a Democrat, in November.

The debate, from the studios of Fox 8 in Cleveland, will take place between 7 and 8 p.m. and will air on each of these stations and be livestreamed in the video player above.

In addition, exclusive online coverage before and after the debate will be offered in the player above. At about 6:45 p.m., NBC4 Digital Anchor Rachel Ramsey will be joined by debate moderators Colleen Marshall of NBC4 and Joe Toohey of Fox 8. After, she’ll be joined by political strategists Mehek Cooke (R) and Derrick Clay (D) with the candidates having the opportunity to give their reactions.

The three participating are State Sen. Matt Dolan, Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose and businessman Bernie Moreno. In recent months, LaRose and Moreno have exchanged accusations of dishonesty, and Dolan has gone after his opponents over the Capitol riots of Jan. 6, 2021.

LaRose and Moreno — with the latter earning the endorsement of former President Donald Trump — have attempted to frame themselves as the “Trump candidate.” Dolan has not made Trump a central part of his candidacy, instead focusing on policy and beating Brown in November.

Brown has served in the U.S. Senate since 2007, last winning reelection in 2018. He recently spoke with Marshall and Toohey in an interview you can watch at this link.

Candidates in the debate have met specific polling and campaign fundraising thresholds.
