Ohio Restaurant Owner Died After Serving Obama Breakfast

Update (5:08 p.m. EDT): Obama called Harris's daughter, reports CNN's Justin Lear reports via Twitter, who says the president expressed his condolences and "passed on his thoughts and prayers."

Original: This is just a very unfortunate story: The owner of the Akron restaurant where President Barack Obama dropped in for breakfast Friday morning died a few hours after serving him, the Akron Beacon Journal reported. Obama visited Ann's Place and ordered "eggs over easy, bacon and wheat toast. He added grits at a waitress’ suggestion," according to the Times Reporter of Dover-New Philadelphia, Ohio. Shortly after the president's visit, according to the Beacon Journal's Stephanie Warsmith and Rick Armon, Josephine "Ann" Harris, the 70-year-old proprietor, was taken away by an ambulance and died of an apparent heart attack.
