Ohio sees highest number of Memorial Day weekend traffic deaths since 2020

Ohio roads saw the deadliest Memorial Day weekend in three years.

A report by the Ohio State Highway Patrol states that 22 crashes resulted in 23 deaths on Ohio’s roadways this Memorial Day weekend.

This is the highest number since 2020 when 20 people were killed, according to OSHP.

The reporting period took place from May 26 through May 29.

State troopers also made 300 impaired driving arrests, 233 drug arrests and gave nearly 3,000 safety belt citations.
