Ohio State Alumni Club of Tuscarawas County sets scholarship fundraiser

NEW PHILADELPHIA −The Ohio State Alumni Club of Tuscarawas County will hold its third annual “Drive-up Fishing Expedition” from 10 a.m. to noon Oct. 8 at Tuscora Park.

The event will raise scholarship funds for Tuscarawas County students attending Ohio State University.

Cars will enter from Tuscora Avenue and move along Al Maloney Midway. Participants will purchase their “catch of the day” (each fish selection is $20). Each “catch” will have a minimum value of $20. Our volunteers will bring your winnings to your vehicle.

The “catches of the day” include OSU decorations, pillow cases, shirts, blankets, puzzles, neck scarves, artwork, pillows, towels and tote bags and more. Also available are OSU photos, footballs, framed photos and mini helmets autographed by former Buckeyes including Joey Galloway, Raekwon McMillan, Orlando Pace, Jim Tressel, Terrence Dials, Tyvis Powell, Joshua Perry, Rex Kern and Parris Campbell and many others. Each “catch” will also include a $5 gift certificate for Roosters wings.

If you have any items that you would like to donate for prizes in this fundraiser or if you are interested in volunteering, contact Martha Campbell at 330-340-0390 or martha.jane.campbell@gmail.com.

If paying by check, please make the check payable to “OSU Foundation” or if paying by cash, have the cash in an envelope with your name, phone number and email address.
