Ohio State basketball 5-star target to announce college choice Sunday

The Ohio State basketball team is fresh off a major commitment from four-star small forward Devin Royal this past week, but now it’s time to turn our attention to another potential BOOM!

High four-star small forward Scotty Middleton, out of Wichita, Kansas, will let the college basketball world know on Sunday at 8 p.m. ET, where he plans to perform athletic feats in college. And, yes, the Buckeyes are expected to be in the thick of the announcement.

According to the 247Sports composite, Middleton is No. 34 among national prospects and sixth among small forwards.

Middleton is a five-star prospect according to the ESPN Top 100.

According to the tweet shared by Middleton, you can follow along with his announcement by pulling up the Twitter account of former OSU assistant and current recruiting guru, Paul Biancardi. Currently, the crystal balls point toward a big day for the Buckeyes, but UConn and Seton Hall are in the mix.

The Ohio State recruiting class of 2023 is already in the top five with three commitments. Getting another highly sought prospect would significantly boost the class.
