Ohio State's six-game win streak ended with Michigan's Thursday visit. The Wolverines led by as many as 34 points and ended up defeating the Buckeyes 77-58.

OSU shot just 26.7% from the field in the first half, making 8 of their first 30 shots. The Buckeyes were outrebounded 43-28.

"First of all, give (Michigan) credit," said Ohio State coach Kevin McGuff. "They played very well. I think overall we hit a little adversity and had too many people trying to do their own thing instead of staying together and collectively punching back."

Jacy Sheldon scored 15 points and Tanaya Beacham added 14. Both grabbed six rebounds.

"They came out and hit us in the mouth, and we didn’t help to get ourselves together," Beachman said.

Buckeyes guard Taylor Mikesell was held to 6 points on 2-for-10 shooting. Mikesell's previous low this season was 12 points in a Nov. 14 tipoff against Norfolk State.

The Thursday game closed out the regular-season series for Ohio State (15-4, 7-3 Big Ten) and Michigan (18-2, 9-1 Big Ten). The Wolverines also won 90-71 on Dec. 31.

Ohio State's next tipoff is a road game against Iowa on Monday.
