Ohio State drops from No. 2 to No. 11 in post-Week 8 AP poll

Ohio State’s blowout loss to Purdue led to a nine-spot drop in Sunday’s AP top 25.

The Buckeyes lost 49-20 to the Boilermakers and fell from No. 2 to No. 11. Clemson moves up to No. 2 in Ohio State’s place and is followed by Notre Dame, LSU and Michigan. Yes, Alabama is at No. 1 as has been customary for the entirety of the season.

Washington State moved up to No. 14 after beating Oregon at home. The Ducks fell to No. 19. Washington State is the highest-ranked team in the Pac-12.

LSU easily dispatched Misssissippi State on Saturday while Michigan beat Michigan State. Notre Dame was off on Saturday and Alabama blew out Tennessee.
