Ohio State black jerseys are back against Wisconsin. Here are past OSU alternate uniforms
Ohio State football is bringing back the all-black look against Wisconsin.
The Buckeyes will wear the all-black alternate jerseys for the fourth time in program history, earning wins against Michigan State in 2019, Nebraska in 2018 and against Penn State in 2015 when these uniforms were first used.

Here's a look at the alternate jerseys Ohio State has worn in the past.
When has Ohio State worn alternate jerseys?
The first time wearing an alternate jersey was in 2009 against Michigan. The Buckeyes won 21-10.
One season later, Ohio State beat Michigan 37-7 in scarlet tops and helmets with gray pants.
On Oct. 29, 2011, Ohio State upset No. 12 Wisconsin wearing alternate jerseys.
In 2012, Urban Meyer brought back the scarlet tops against Michigan, beating the Wolverines 26-21.
The Buckeyes wore similar jerseys in their 63-14 win against Penn State in 2013.
Ohio State traded scarlet for white on the road against Michigan later in 2013, wearing similar jerseys in losses to Clemson in the 2014 Orange Bowl and at home to Virginia Tech in 2014. They went back to the white versions against Penn State on Oct. 25 and won 31-24 in overtime.
In the 2015 Allstate Sugar Bowl against Alabama, Ohio State wore Nike Diamond Quest uniforms to honor the 1968 national championship team, wearing a scarlet version against Oregon a few days later to win the first College Football Playoff championship.
In 2016, Ohio State released an interesting design for a 62-3 win against Nebraska.
The black helmets returned against Michigan that season. And Ohio State beat the Wolverines in overtime 30-27.
In 2017, the Buckeyes went gray, bringing back the black chrome helmets against Penn State in 2017.

They wore similar jerseys but white against Michigan that season. They won 31-20.
Most recently, in 2021, Ohio State released its Nike Color Rush jerseys for a "Scarlet the Shoe" against Penn State.
