Ohio State football recruiting far ahead of Michigan recruiting in 2023 class

Ohio State's rivalry with Michigan continues off the football field.

The battle between the Buckeyes and the Wolverines continues even on the recruiting trail, something Ohio State has held an advantage in the last three full recruiting classes.

With both teams coming in with top-10 recruiting classes in 2022, with the Buckeyes at No. 4 and the Wolverines at No. 9, Michigan's last recruiting class with a better rating than Ohio State's was in 2019 when the Wolverines had the No. 8 composite class in the country compared to the Buckeyes' No. 14.

Who has the advantage in 2023?

With 19 commits in the 2023 class, including a five-star receiver in Brandon Inniss, Ohio State has the No. 6 recruiting class in the country.

Michigan has 16 commits and seven four-star commits, but comes in with the No. 22 class in the country behind programs like Florida, USC, Penn State, Arkansas, Louisville and Texas Tech.
