Ohio State graduate and Broadway performer Bonnie Milligan can now add "Tony winner" to her resume.

On Sunday night, she won best performance by an actress in a featured role in a musical for her portrayal of Debra in Broadway musical "Kimberly Akimbo" at the Tony Awards, which aired on CBS and Paramount+ at 8 p.m.

The production from Pulitzer Prize-winner David Lindsay-Abaire and Tony Award-winner Jeanine Tesori "follows Kim, a bright and funny Jersey teen, who happens to look like a 72-year-old lady," according to tonyawards.com.

Another former Columbus student, Jordan Donica, a graduate of Otterbein University, was nominated for best performance by an actor in a featured role in a musical for his portrayal of Lancelot Du Lac in the latest Broadway revival of Lerner and Loewe's "Camelot." However, Donica lost to Alex Newell, of the musical "Shucked."

Who is Bonnie Milligan?

Bonnie Milligan has performed in numerous productions, including Broadway's "Head Over Heels," a national tour of "Kinky Boots," and Off-Broadway's "Promenade, God Bless You Mr. Rosewater" and "Gigantic." She also has had roles on several TV shows, including "Search Party," "Escape at Dannemora," "Chicago Fire," "Happy" and "New Amsterdam."
