Ohio State Highway Patrol recognizes 2022 Trooper, Dispatcher of the Year

The 2022 Trooper and Dispatcher of the Year for the Piqua Post has been selected, according to a spokesperson with Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Trooper Eric Devers, 32, and Dispatcher John Clemmer, 46, will be receiving the award recognizing their service in 2022, the spokesperson said in a media release shared with News Center 7.

Fellow employees selected Devers based on his leadership skills, professional ethics, kind treatment of others, great work attitude and for his cooperation with supervisors, peers and the public, the spokesperson said.

Devers, originally from Kenton, Ohio, graduated from the Ohio State Highway Patrol in 2014, the spokesperson said. He has been assigned to the Piqua Patrol Post his entire career.

John Clemmer joined the Patrol in January of 2015 and now lives in Miamisburg with family, the spokesperson said.

Clemmer was selected by his peers for this award based on his technical ability, enthusiastic work attitude, teamwork and courteous response to the public’s request for information or assistance, the spokesperson said.
