Ohio State lands offensive lineman to the 2022 class

After a lengthy period of quiet on the Ohio State football recruiting front, the Buckeyes have landed two prospects for the 2022 class in as many days. Tuesday, OSU got a big one from four-star defensive end Kenyatta Jackson, followed up Wednesday morning with news that three-star offensive lineman Avery Henry is also joining the Buckeye football program.

Out of Saint Clairsville, Ohio, Henry stands at 6-foot, 6-inches, and 305-pounds. He is rated as the No. 134 offensive tackle in the class according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, but obviously, Ohio State thinks it got a player that is severely undersold. In fact, it’s often that we see offensive linemen as the underrated players that end up developing all that size and ability into something special.

Henry’s commitment makes it 16 that have now committed to the 2022 class, one that was tops among all programs early on and still in the top ten. Ryan Day and staff are still looking to add to the class with a strong, finishing kick.
