Ohio State running back Miyan Williams out for Buckeyes against Maryland

While TreVeyon Henderson and Chip Trayanum are set to return to give the Ohio State football running back room some depth against Maryland, the Buckeyes will still be without their leading rusher.

After he had to be helped off the field and carted off to the locker room at the end of the first half against Indiana, Ohio State running back Miyan Williams is unavailable against Maryland Saturday afternoon.

Before the injury, Williams has 147 rushing yards on 15 carries, including a 48-yard touchdown run. But when he returned to the sideline in the second half, he was wearing a walking book on his right foot and using crutches.

“It didn’t look like, based on what we saw in the locker room, that it was going to be something really long-term, so we’ll see how he feels overnight," Ohio State coach Ryan Day said of Williams' status after the game.

After Ohio State's 56-14 win against Indiana, Williams tweeted out "I'm good... Go bucks."

In nine games, Williams leads the Buckeyes with 783 rushing yards on 117 carries, averaging 6.7 yards per rush. He also has 13 rushing touchdowns.

TreVeyon Henderson, Chip Trayanum to return

Henderson and Trayanum are set to return for Ohio State Saturday afternoon against Maryland

Henderson first suffered a foot injury against Toledo Sept. 18 before aggravated it against Penn State, missing the last two games against Northwestern and Indiana.

Trayanum was a game-time decision before the Indiana game, but did not go through pregame warmups or play against the Hoosiers.
