Ohio state senator drives during video meeting

The Republican lawmaker initially joined the meeting of the Ohio Controlling Board, clearly seated in his parked car.

Brenner could be seen later adding the virtual background to his video before reappearing with a seatbelt across his chest and occasional views of the road behind him.

Brenner subsequently defended his actions, telling The Colombus Dispatch that he was not distracted and was paying attention to his driving.

The Colombus Dispatch reported that the video meeting came on the same day that a bill to target distracted driving was introduced to the state senate.
