Ohio State (15-3, 7-2 Big Ten) ended its three-game losing streak at the hands of Rutgers (7-13, 0-8 Big Ten) with an 80-71 win Sunday. Prior to that victory, OSU's most recent win over the Scarlet Knights came on Feb. 14, 2001.

Jacy Sheldon led the Buckeyes in scoring with 32, and 23 of those came after halftime when she went 7-for-12 from the field and 4-for-7 from behind the arc.

"I thought we were a little choppy at times and didn’t play our best," said coach Kevin McGuff, "but our intensity in the second half and our leadership from the upperclassmen allowed us to pull away and get the win."

It was the fourth straight game in which Sheldon has scored 30 or more points.

Taylor Mikesell added 10 points.

As a team, the Buckeyes recorded eight steals and scored 31 points off of Rutgers' 19 turnovers. Meanwhile, OSU limited its giveaways to just 11.

Ohio State was unranked in the most recent Associated Press poll but has now won six in a row, including Thursday's upset of No. 12 Maryland 95-89. A new poll is released Monday.

The Buckeyes return to action Thursday with a home game against Michigan.
