Ohio’s temporary block on abortion ban extended for another 2 weeks, area clinic spokesperson says
The temporary block on Ohio’s abortion ban has been extended for another two weeks.
The decision means abortions through 20 weeks’ gestation can continue for now, in keeping with state law in place before the ban.
A spokesperson with Women’s Med Center in Kettering said a Hamilton County Judge has decided to extend the temporary block that originally scheduled to end on Sept. 28 for an additional 14 days.

The block has allowed the clinic to stay open and see patients. The clinic said Monday they saw 30 patients.
The spokesperson said that staff members have been on the phone the entire day non-stop scheduling appointments. Most patients are from Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky with some from Tennessee and Illinois.
News Center 7 has reached out to Dayton Right to Life and ACLU Ohio for their comments on the extension.
Margie Christie, executive director of Dayton Right to Life called the temporary block “judicial tyranny.”
“Across the state, this temporary restraining order will allow the killing of thousands of preborn children,” Christie said in a statement.
