Ohio voters cast ballots on Issue 1

Sandusky County and Ottawa County voters went to the polls Tuesday in a special election to decide on Issue 1, which would require 60% of the vote to amend the state's constitution, instead of the current simple majority.

Issue 1 also would require citizens seeking to place an amendment on the ballot to collect signatures from at least 5% of the number of votes in the last gubernatorial election in all of Ohio's 88 counties instead of the current 44 counties.
