OhioHealth New Albany Medical Campus to welcome patients Dec. 6
The OhioHealth New Albany Medical Campus is to open at 7 a.m. Dec. 6 at 5150 E. Dublin-Granville Road, bringing a significant addition to patient care to the burgeoning northeast side of Franklin County.
The health conglomerate spent $41 million refurbishing an 83,000-square-foot building, thus allowing the company to expand its primary- and urgent-care services, while improving access to a dozen or so specialists and services, including sports medicine, orthopedics, endocrinology and behavioral health.
The New Albany Medical Campus is to bring a new, innovative kind of health care experience to patients, built around their needs, such as e-check-in stations, OhioHealth’s first drive-up care location and full-service retail pharmacy with curbside pickup.
It has boosted OhioHealth's presence in the area, as the company operates facilities the Gahanna Health Center at 765 N. Hamilton Road and OhioHealth Emergency Care – New Albany, 5868 N. Hamilton Road.
“The New Albany Medical Campus is one of our leading sites for innovation at OhioHealth,” said Brian Jepson, president of the OhioHealth central market.
“These new features, such as drive-up urgent care and e-check-in, give us the chance to explore new ways to provide services that will enhance the patient and provider experience throughout the entire OhioHealth system.”
Cherie Nelson, executive director of the New Albany Chamber of Commerce, said "health and wellness is part of a thriving community.
"They've been a been a friend in New Albany and many people in New Albany have OhioHealth as their health care provider, so we're very excited about (the health campus)," Nelson said.
