Ohio's Rep. Jim Jordan to join Rep. Laurel Lee at campaign fundraiser Saturday in Lakeland

U.S. Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, will appear Saturday at a political fundraiser for U.S. Rep. Laurel Lee, R-Tampa, to be held at the Polk Theatre in Lakeland.

The event, billed as a “fireside chat,” will raise money for Lee’s re-election campaign and for the Florida Freedom Fund PAC and the National Republican Congressional Committee. Lee is in her first term in District 15, which encompasses most of Lakeland west of U.S. 98 and South Florida Avenue, and parts of Hillsborough and Pasco counties.

Jordan, the chair of the House Judiciary Committee, is a founder of the House Freedom Caucus and considered one of the most conservative members of the U.S. House. He is in his ninth term.

The event begins at 4 p.m. Tickets are $25, according to Lee's campaign.
