OHSAA Football Playoffs: Find out who won in the regional quarterfinals

Rematches highlighted our coverage Friday night. Reynoldsburg at Upper Arlington, Hilliard Bradley at Pickerington Central, Pickerington North at Gahanna Lincoln and Canal Winchester at Big Walnut all were regional-quarterfinal rematches of regular-season contests. We also covered Hilliard Darby at New Albany and Hartley at London, along with Westerville South at Massillon Washington from the Massillon Independent and DeSales at Granville from the Newark Advocate.

- Wooster's defense limited host Dublin Scioto to 245 yards of offense and forced three turnovers on the way to a Division II regional semifinal win over the Irish (8-4). The 14th seeded Generals (7-5) recovered a pair of fumbles and had an interception to help tip the time-of-possession scales in their favor, 29:30 to 18:30. A touchdown pass from Drew Becker to Gregory Adams and a 13-yard TD run by Micha McKee gave Wooster a 14-0 halftime. Amare Jenkins cut the deficit in half with a 17-yard TD pass to Tysen Boze, but Drew Radar converted two fourth-quarter field goals to preserve the win. Becker finished with 341 yards passing while four players had at least 66 yards receiving. Boze had seven receptions for 79 yards.

- Devon Haley amassed 179 yards rushing and scored what proved to be the game-winning touchdown as Granville (12-0) held off visiting DeSales (7-5) in Division III action. Haley had 28 run attempts and his 40 yard touchdown with 10:15 remaining gave the Blue Aces a 19-6 lead. Tyler Ernsberger threw for just 62 yards, but added a pair of touchdown passes, while Granville's defense didn't allow DeSales to gain more than 100 yards on the ground (95) or through the air (98). Whit Hobgood finished with 164 total yards (66 rushing) and two TD passes for DeSales, which cut its deficit to seven with one minute left in the game.

- KJ Benedict led an efficient offense with 182 yards passing and a pair of touchdowns as Bloom-Carroll (12-0) rolled to a Division IV regional quarterfinal win over visiting Highland (8-4). Benedict connected with Branyon Dodds and Beau Wisecarver for scores. Wisecarver led the team with 56 yards on six receptions and also threw a 15-yard TD pass to Collin Willet. Dylan Armentrout (8-79) and Chase Plantz (15-78, 1 TD) led the ground attack while the defense limited Highland to just 36 yards passing on 11 completions. Dane Nauman led the Fighting Scots with 120 yards rushing.
