OHSAA football regional final pairings: 7 Southwest Ohio teams can advance to state semis

Six Southwest Ohio area high schools remain alive in the Ohio High School Athletic Association football playoffs with four possibly advancing to the post-Thanksgiving Day state semifinals. Here are next weekend's pairings and selection sites for the regional finals. The OHSAA confirmed the game locatIons Sunday afternoon.

Division I

Region 4

No. 1 seed Moeller (12-1) vs. No. 3 seed Lakota West (13-0) at Princeton, Friday, Nov. 18 at 7 p.m

Moeller held off No. 5 seed Mason 24-16 to end the Comets' season at 10-3. The Crusaders now have a rematch of last year's regional final against Lakota West, which the Crusaders won 21-17. The Firebirds defeated No. 2 seed Elder 30-10 as the Panthers finished 10-3.

Division II

Region 8

No. 4 seed Kings (12-1) vs. No. 10 seed Anderson (8-5) at Mason, Friday, Nov. 18 at 7 p.m.

Kings took out the defending Division II champions and top seed Winton Woods 23-16 to end its campaign at 12-1. Anderson clobbered the Cougars of Edgewood 55-35, the No. 3 seed. Edgewood finished 11-2.

Division III

Region 12

No. 1 seed Badin (13-0) vs. No. 3 seed Tipp City Tippecanoe (12-1) at Trotwood-Madison Friday, Nov. 18 at 7 p.m.

The Rams advanced past No. 4 Wapakoneta 16-9 Friday to remain unbeaten in their quest to return to the Division III championship game.

Division IV

Region 16

No. 1 seed Wyoming (13-0) vs. No. 2 seed Taft (11-2) at Lakota West Saturday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m.

Wyoming blasted No. 13 seed Clinton-Massie 40-7. The 2021 Division IV champion finished 7-6 after their playoff run. Taft pulled away in the second half to defeat No. 6 seed McNicholas 44-14. The Rockets also finished 7-6.

Division V

No. 5 seed Madeira (11-2) was eliminated Friday, Nov. 11 by No. 1 Germantown Valley View 38-7.
