Oink And Moo BBQ To Open In Somerville Saturday

SOMERVILLE, NJ — Oink and Moo BBQ Market is opening its newest location in downtown Somerville on Saturday.

The fast-casual BBQ restaurant will host a grand opening celebration on Saturday with a ribbon-cutting at 11:30 a.m. and opening its doors right after. A free bag of Cicerone (Pork Grinds) will also be given out to customers with every order on Saturday (while supplies last).

The restaurant, at 63 W Main St. in Somerville, will also serve as a one-stop BBQ market selling all the BBQ needs including charcoal, wood chips, grill tools and accessories, smokers, BBQ sauces, and BBQ rubs.

The joint will also offer raw meats — such as whole chickens, pork butts, ribs — to take home and throw on the grill as well as prepared family meals.

Oink and Moo is taking the place of Main Street Gourmet Deli, owned by Martinsville native Kevin Trimarchi, who also owns 22 West Tap & Grill.

The coronavirus pandemic "squashed" Trimarchi's deli. The closure is not a complete loss as Trimarchi is teaming up with Oink and Moo BBQ owner Joshua Sacks to bring the new location to Somerville.

Sacks, who has a passion for barbeque food, began catering in 2011 and then opened his first food truck in 2012. He has since won awards for his food and later opened his first brick and mortar location in Hampton in Hunterdon County.
