Antonio Brown's biggest fan is weighing in on the allegations against the star wide receiver, and trying to make it clear that star was only "accused" of sexual assault.

OJ Simpson went on Twitter Tuesday evening shortly after news broke that Brown had been hit with a federal civil lawsuit by a former female trainer who accused the NFL star of rape.

"I saw where somebody accused Antonio of rape," Simpson said. "Now, lets make one thing clear -- he was accused, not charged."

The former NFL running back was worried about his Fantasy Football team, and explained, "I don’t know how that’s going to affect him," adding, "I’m hoping it's not true."

Simpson ended by saying, "Nothing I knew about Antonio would make me think someone would do something like that."

AB did not respond to Simpson, but it's gotta be an interesting scenario that a big celebrity is defending him -- but that celebrity happens to be OJ Simpson.

The other day, after Brown was released from the Oakland Raiders and signed a deal with the New England Patriots, Simpson also commented on the situation.

"Antonio ... look like you came out smelling like a rose," Simpson said. He also claimed, "I don't think many people are pulling for you right now."

As we reported, Brown's attorney issued a statement adamantly denying all of the allegations.

“Mr. Brown denies each and every allegation in the lawsuit. He will pursue all legal remedies to not only clear his name but to also protect other professional athletes against false accusations.”
