South Korean artist and 2PM member Ok Taec-yeon, also known as Taecyeon, will star in the upcoming fantasy romantic comedy series “HeartBeat.”

Ok, known for his roles in series such as “Dream High,” “Bring It On, Ghost” and “Vincenzo,” as well as a recent cameo in Netflix's “XO, Kitty,” will star opposite South Korean actor Won Ji-an, whose credits include “Hope or Dope” and “If You Wish Upon Me.”

In “HeartBeat,” Ok, 34, will portray a half-vampire who enters a 100-year slumber in the hopes of finding true love. Plans go awry as he is awakened prematurely by Won’s character, a captivating yet cold-hearted woman with no interest in romance.

Series director Lee Hyun-suk shared that the 16-episode show will be a mix of humor and heart.

HeartBeat explores vampires who are completely drained by humans. What would the lives of Korean vampires be like in the 21st century? This story, born from such an imagination, is expected to garner amusement, laughter, and touch the audience’s hearts.

Produced by Korean broadcaster KBS, the series will be available for streaming on Prime Video starting on June 26. New episodes will be released every Monday and Tuesday.
