Oklahoma City Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault and guard Ty Jerome spoke with the media following practice on Thursday. The Thunder are currently enjoying a three-day break after playing a grueling 11 games in 20 days stretch. The Thunder’s next game is at home against the Indiana Pacers on Friday, Jan. 28. The Thunder last played on Monday in a one-point loss to the Chicago Bulls.

“Happy for him. Impressed. Think it’s a testament to his consistency with his approach,” said Daigneault. “It’s given him a second wind here. He’s played with a lot of confidence with the Blue.”
It will be interesting to see how Daigneault plans to give Maledon minutes as last season’s total minutes leader is in a logjam with other young guards on the roster.
“When he comes back here, I want to reward him with opportunity, said Daigneault. “I don’t know when that’ll be.”
