Oklahoma City Spark releases schedule, will open inaugural season with home game June 15

The Oklahoma City Spark has released the schedule for its inaugural season.

The professional softball team will play its first game ever on June 15 against the Smash It Sports Vipers. The Spark will open the Women's Professional Fastpitch season with a three-game home series against the Vipers, then follow with another three-game home series against the USSSA Pride.

Game times for the 36-game schedule have yet to be released.

Where the Spark will play its first six games remains to be seen, too. While home games later on the team's schedule are listed as being in Oklahoma City, the first six home games are listed as being in Oklahoma.

While the Spark named USA Softball Hall of Fame Stadium as its home field, Spark owner Tina Floyd has previously said the team is likely to play some home games at other venues around the state. She wants to expose softball fans all over the state to the Spark, but additionally, the Spark will have to work around other summer tournaments booked at Hall of Fame Stadium.

Tickets for Spark games are not yet on sale.
