Oklahoma man killed in crash north of Joplin

Nov. 17—A Wyandotte, Oklahoma, man was killed in a fiery, single-vehicle crash at 11:46 p.m. Thursday on Peace Church Road, about a mile and a half north of Joplin in Jasper County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

John W. Lynch, 49, was pronounced dead at the scene by a deputy county coroner.

Lynch was driving a vehicle that ran off the road on a curve, struck a ditch and fence, overturned and caught fire, the patrol said.
